Course description:

This exam prepatory course targets the 4-hour writing exam in Statistics at HA MAK. Historically, Statistics has been a course that most students have found difficult due to its mathematical calculations and challenging interpretations. In addition, HA MAK is a brand-new program as the students have almost no material to use as preparation before the final exam.

This course will help you by giving an overview of the syllabus and experience with answering exam-like questions.

The questions will be based on prior exams from other programs with similar syllabus. The course will consequently include material at the relevant level and magnitude, and thus give you the best training possible before theexam.

After having attended this course, you will be able to:

• Have an comprehensive overview of the syllabus

• Recognize the various types of exam questions

• Answer the questions in a structured and correct way

The course will go through the most important subjects in the syllabus,including:

• Probability calculus

• Binomial distributions

• Normal distributions

• Sampling distributions

• Confidence intervals

• Hypothesis testing

• Regression analysis

   

This course will use R Studio to some of the solutions, why we will go through the most important calculations in the program. However, it is important to note that the focus will be on getting experience with solving statistical problems and not the finer points of R.
